DESCRIPTION

Natan Sharansky (1948-), served as a Member of the Knesset and Minister of the Government of Israel and as Chairman of the Jewish Agency. Known for being a prisoner of Zion and denied a Soviet aliyah. The full archive of Natan Sharansky Archive at the National Library of Israel includes documentation of his trial and imprisonment, publications and correspondence created as part of the "Shomer Achi Anochi" association and various associations designed to promote the release of Sharansky and other prisoners of Zion, personal correspondence of Sharansky, and official correspondence, within his various positions in the Knesset, government and Jewish Agency.
